Save this post as well. 🙌

In addition, if someone cannot afford to do all of these, they should never stop treating themselves like humans. While we are busy doing stuff, we always forget that we are human and we have limits.

Don't beat yourself up; instead, beat up the coffee beans or at least the stinky trash bag. 😅

Reassessing my expectations is always the hard part to me. I somehow end up expecting more and then disappointed in many cases. Need to work on that. And hey this is good list.

one advice I'd like to add to this amazing list:

every once in a while I find myself getting overwhelmed when setting goals for the long term (3-6 months). i get questions like, will I make it? or will I be consistent to achieve that goal? if the world ends in 2months then what's the point of me doing this?

although these questions seem dumb, they do occupy a lot of my mental energy. the best solution I found to this, is to remind myself to wind TODAY. not tomorrow, not next week, not a month or two from now, but win today. because the time frame is so small, it feels so easy and doable.

I choose to look at my life like this now, and it feels lighter and achievable.

This is a wonderful list!

I have been swamped with work plus studies lately. Re-evaluating my priorities and by choosing not to read for fun everyday (because I spend so much time studying already) has given some room for tasks like following a skin care routine, solving puzzles or simply sitting and breathing. The advice you gave in this post certainly helps so thank you Sara!

Love this list! Something I try to do is filter practices that support my nervous system throughout the day. It could be stepping outside for a moment, taking a deep breath. My go-tos are meditation in the morning, nidra or resting in the sun in the afternoon, and yin at night. When I get overwhelmed, these things are the first to go, but then I notice my nervous system becoming overworked and ungrounded. Even 5 min makes a huge difference. I’m recovering from burnout, so require additional support.

So good! Thank you for sharing 🖤 I’ve been trying to create boundaries around people reaching out via text & social media. I notice it’s something definitely overwhelms me more when I’m already overwhelmed.
