I’ve been sitting with a few quiet lessons lately. Not big revelations, just gentle reminders that keep surfacing—often when I least expect them. I thought I’d share them here, in case they meet you where you are, too.
no. 1: notice the resistance
If I had to bet, I’d say nearly all of us are resisting something. A truth. A change. A knowing we’ve quietly tucked away.
But rather than push ourselves to break through resistance (which often just creates more of it), what if we simply noticed it? Observed where it shows up. Paid attention to what it’s trying to protect us from.
Lately, I’ve been doing just that—gently witnessing the places I hesitate, delay, or distract. And instead of shaming myself for it, I try to get curious:
- What am I afraid of?
- What am I not ready to feel?
- What would it mean to stop resisting and simply be with what is?
Resistance can be a wise messenger. It often points to places that need tending, not fixing. If we learn to listen to it, it might just teach us how to move forward with more compassion—and less force.
no. 2: ask more questions
I used to think life was about finding the right answers. Lately, I’m realizing it might be more about asking better questions. Maybe the goal isn’t to solve life, but to understand it—to be in relationship with it.
