This newsletter won’t be long. It’s truly just an acknowledgment of how difficult this year has been for so many. As a collective, I feel like humanity is exhausted.
Regardless of whether you’re motivated to keep pushing or are stopping to catch your breath, I want to encourage you to be gentle. And what do I mean? Be kind, tender, and soft. Recognize that you might be holding more than ever before. Validate how hard it’s been for you. Understand that you might be in need of some grace.
We often reserve our gentleness for those we love, supporting them through their struggles. Yet, when it comes to ourselves, we’re quick to criticize, dismiss or minimize our pain, or rush the healing process—as if our own hurt is somehow less deserving of patience and attention.
